Biography

Joshua Schulman is the former brand president and chief executive of Coach, having joined the company in June 2017, and departed in 2020 to join Farrow & Ball as non-executive director. Prior to this he served as the president of Bergdorf Goodman, a role he held from May 2012. Schulman immediately oversaw a period of renovation for the luxury department store, with major renovations occurring in both the women’s and men’s retail areas.

With analysts forecasting Bergdorf Goodman’s $600 million revenue will increase to pass the one billion-dollar mark, Schulman’s appointment and this crucial stage is an indication of the respect he has built in the industry though his years of experience. “His deep product knowledge and passion for the customer experience makes him the perfect individual to craft the next chapter at Bergdorf Goodman,” said Neiman Marcus president of specialty retail Jim Gold , in a statement at the time of his appointment.

Prior to his appointment Schulman was the chief executive of Jimmy Choo from 2007 to 2012. In addition to heading Jimmy Choo in London, Schulman has held roles at Kenneth Cole New York and Gap Inc. as well as working for eight years at the Gucci Group. His most significant role at the group was that of executive vice president of Yves Saint Laurent.
