Biography

Internationally renowned casting director Kannon Rajah crafted the line up for the bi-annual Victoria’s Secret shows since 2006 and has also collaborated on shows for Gareth Pugh , Pedro Lourenco, Altuzarra, Yves Saint Laurent and Versace. Since 2010, Rajah has cast the catwalk shows for Fendi and has also worked on editorials for i-D, Russh and Vogue Japan.

Rajah began his career working as a runner for Sydney based agency Spin in 2001. An alumnus of Sydney University, where the young Australian initially undertook a degree in sports therapy, Rajah’s first experience at Mercedes Australia Fashion Week, under Spin director Jarrod Clark, cemented his determination to pursue a career within the industry.

Over the course of four years at Spin, Rajah compiled show schedules and worked on productions for the likes of Sass & Bide, Josh Goot and Camilla and Marc, eventually rising to the level of Director of Designer Relations. In 2005, a chance meeting with Robert Rigutto, former menswear director at Calvin Klein and Donna Karan , put Rajah in touch with Diane Fish, a director at leading fashion PR and production company KCD Worldwide, who hired the budding casting director as her assistant in New York. After spending three seasons with KCD, Rajah approached preeminent casting director John Pfieffer for a job 2006.
