Biography

Since she was first scouted via Facebook in high school, Rebecca Leigh Longendyke has seen a meteoric rise to top-model status thanks to her signature freckles and girl-next-door look.

Born and raising in Hurley, upstate New York, Longendyke initially pursued a career in science, studying a degree in biomedical engineering at Binghamton University, with occasional forays into modelling during her free time in lieu of a more typical summer job. However, mid-way through her studies, she was cast for Saint Laurent, which opted to use her test shots in the campaign itself on account of their strength.

From there, Longendyke’s modelling career snowballed into editorials for Another Magazine and a number of international Vogue titles, as well as walking for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Burberry and Valentino haute couture. Her first runway gig was for Calvin Klein ’s Autumn/Winter 2018 show, followed by catwalk appearances at a number of Paris Fashion Week shows. She has also featured on the covers of Vogue Italia, Vogue Japan, Vogue Germany and the spring 2019 issue of i-D, lensed by Alasdair McLellan .

Longendyke’s status as a buzzed-about emerging model has prompted recognition from industry insiders; she was nominated by Stevie Dance and Alastair McKimm as one of Models.com’s top newcomers for Spring/Summer 2019 and Autumn/Winter 2019 respectively, with the website also ranking her among the top 50 models as of August 2019.

She is represented by Elite New York City, Women Management in Paris and Milan, Storm Management in London, Scoop Models in Copenhagen and Munich Models in Munich.
