Biography

Tenzin Wild and Magnus Berger are the founders of The Last Magazine, which began as a glossy, oversized journal that is part art book and part newspaper, intended to be a platform for young talent. The biannual publication came together in 2008 after Berger, formerly an art director at Baron & Baron, and Wild, previously at Visionaire and Box Ltd., decided to team up and combine their artistic skills and fashion-world connections. The pair also run a creative studio, previously called Berger & Wild. In 2018, on The Last Universe's 10th anniversary, the duo launched a parent company to the magazine and Berger & Wild, bringing the platforms under the same name.

In 2000, Wild became production director at Visionaire, V Magazine and V Man. He remained there for five years, before moving onto Box Studios where he was chief operating officer until 2008. In November 2012, Berger was appointed creative director at WSJ Magazine, relaunching the magazine with the March 2013 issue.

Berger & Wild’s clients include Givenchy, Alexander Wang , Hugo Boss , Richard Chai, Derek Lam, ICB, Helmut Lang, Equipment, Rizzoli, and Elie Tahari among others.

In 2014, Wild fronted a campaign for American retailer Banana Republic with his then-girlfriend, Japanese model and actress, Tao Okamoto. The couple married in 2016.
