The Chinese music superstar is a firm fashion fixture with his own namesake brand and having been named Louis Vuitton brand ambassador.


Jackson Wang is a Chinese singer, rapper and pop idol with his own fashion lifestyle brand. His distinctive style and large fan base across Asia have helped him secure deals with several fashion and luxury brands. In 2023, he was named brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton. Four years earlier, Fendi tapped him for a capsule collection. He has also partnered with the likes of Cartier, Armani Beauty and Rayban over the years. His lifestyle apparel brand Team Wang Design, of which he is creative director, has released crossovers with brands like Palm Angels. Wang has been on the cover of numerous fashion magazines in China and elsewhere across Asia including the Thai and Singapore editions of Vogue and several editions of Elle. His multilingual abilities — he can speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Korean — has given his career truly global appeal. By 2023, he had more than 33 million followers on Instagram alone.

Born in Hong Kong to a father who was an elite fencer and a gymnast mother, he spent his youth competing as a sabre fencer and was offered an athletic scholarship to attend university in the US. He had been originally preparing for the 2012 London Olympics but chose to pursue K-pop training instead and moved to Seoul, South Korea in mid-2011. He signed with JYP Entertainment and in 2014 debuted as part of the seven-member boy band Got7, a hip-hop and R&B K-pop act. He spent the next several years establishing himself on the South Korean entertainment scene with Got7 and appeared on multiple variety shows until the group’s contract with JYP expired in 2021. Following that, he focused on his solo career, recording albums in both Mandarin and English. In April 2023, he became the first Chinese solo artist to perform his own set at the US music festival Coachella.
