Biography

Since founding luxury Los Angeles-based concept boutique Maxfield’s, founder and creative director Tommy Perse has gained international renown for his chic and avant-garde aesthetic, represented through hand-picked edits of luxury apparel, rare art books, vintage luggage and real human skulls.  Launched the store in the early 70’s, Perse pioneered brands such as Giorgio Armani , Yohji Yamamoto and Comme des Garcons in the southern Californian state, earning instant acclaim and a cult following from discerning local shoppers. The store currently offers high-end labels such as Rick Owens , Libertine, Mastermind Japan and Celine alongside vintage Hermes and footwear from Guidi and is regularly frequented by high profile personalities.

Initially launched in West Hollywood, Perse has since founded a second boutique on Melrose Avenue and another in Malibu.
