Wissam Al Mana is the director of the Almana Group’s retail division. His father founded the group, which includes multiple ventures, across a variety of sectors including real estate and car rental.
The Almana Group’s fashion portfolio includes licenses and franchises for Balenciaga, Giorgio Armani , Hermès, Roberto Cavalli , Dior Homme, Alexander McQueen , Sonia Rykiel and Agent Provocateur. Wissam is also a shareholder in Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Dubai, Bahrain, Doha and Kuwait.
Al Mana was raised in West London and developed an interest in fashion and retail at an early age. Al Mana told Harper’s Bazaar Arabia: "I spent many years growing up in London where I developed an early love of fashion and remember applying for a job at every fashion boutique on the Kings Road. At 14, I finally found a weekend job at a multi-brand store. I really enjoyed it and began to acquire an insight into the world of retail that would prove crucial for my career."
Al Mana is very much influenced by his father’s legacy, describing him to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia as "a very humble and down to earth man… known for being very honest and trustworthy. He taught us many great values such as to treat our employees with dignity and respect."
Al Mana is married to Janet Jackson.
