Vivienne Rohner is a Swiss model, photographer and Chanel muse, chosen by the maison’s creative director Virginie Viard as the face of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 pre-collection campaign.
Rohner grew up in Switzerland, later moving to Paris, then New York, to pursue a modelling career. In 2013, she took part in the Elite Model Look competition; she didn’t win, but the agency took her on as a client.
Rohner quickly became a regular on the catwalk at Vivienne Westwood , and also walked in Phoebe Philo ’s final show for Céline. Her first Chanel show came in 2015, for Karl Lagerfeld , and she’s been a regular on the label’s runway since Autumn/Winter 2020 and appearing in ad campaigns.
For her Spring/Summer 2022 collection, Viard not only chose Rohner to both open and close the show, but set the show against a backdrop of an enormous photo of the model holding a vintage camera to her face.
