Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication has recently relocated from its rural campus to a new contemporary, design-winning building adjacent to The O2 entertainment dome on London’s Greenwich Peninsula. The school has one of the highest employability rates according to the Higher Education Statistics Agency—97 percent of students are employed within 6 months of graduation. This is in part due to the school’s Ravensbourne Agency, which assists students looking for placements as well as students looking for jobs post graduation. About 80 percent of students in our survey reported being satisfied with their work placements. Students’ rating of courses in business, marketing and digital technologies were above average compared to other schools in our survey, while courses in digital technology and sustainability came in below the average rating. The College has recently added BA courses in fashion accessory design and prototyping as well as buying and brand management, which in its second year is over-recruiting by 20 percent.
"Overall, I really enjoy being at my university and I am learning a lot about finding myself as a designer. I also love this university, because it's an open space. Therefore, it's easier to connect and interact with other students within the building."
"Very good, lovely, well informed lecturers. It's great to have industry talks from experienced people in fashion. Dislike the open plan layout as it's a big distraction."
