Chiara Ferragni launched her blog, The Blonde Salad, in 2009 whilst attending Milan’s Bocconi University for a degree in law.
The blog’s title is indicative of the “mixed salad” of interests it features, including travel, beauty and food. However, Ferragni’s success in the fashion world has seen it evolve primarily into a fashion blog, charting what she wears, her inspirations, and her numerous collaborations with an impressive roster of design houses, including Dior, Ermenegildo Zegna, Benetton and Mango.
Ferragni has also collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a series of video posts, documenting her travels throughout the world and her use of Vuitton products. The Blonde Salad has been featured in publications including Teen Vogue and New York Magazine. Ferragni has launched a shoe line with innovative retailer Luisa Via Roma, bearing Picasso-inspired eye illustrations and Warhollian lips and lipsticks; she stars in the campaign herself. Today her namesake line has expanded into accessories and apparel.
In February 2016, Amazon Fashion announced that Ferragni would become the brand's European ambassador and the face of its Spring 2016 campaign.
