Anna Wintour has an important off-schedule commitment during Paris Fashion Week: host of a fundraising reception for United States President Joe Biden’s campaign.

The Condé Nast chief content officer and global editorial director of Vogue will join Rufus Gifford, the finance chair for the Biden-Harris 2024 presidential campaign, to lead the event taking place at an undisclosed location on March 4 in Paris. Tickets start at $500 and go up to $10,000. (Paris Fashion Week takes place Feb. 26 to March 5.)

Wintour announced her endorsement of Biden in 2020 when the former vice president made his first bid for the nation’s top job. However, her support of the Democratic party goes back decades and she was a vehement supporter of Hilary Clinton during her 2016 US presidential election run.

In a Vogue piece announcing her endorsement of Biden during his 2020 election run, Wintour wrote: “He is unmistakably a man of character and has so many qualities that we are in desperately short supply of in Washington right now: decency, honor, compassion, trustworthiness, and best of all experience.”

The Paris event is being put on by the Biden Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee authorised by Biden for President, the Democratic National Committee, and the state Democratic parties in most states.
