Condé Nast hired Weng, who has been the editor in chief of InStyle Germany since 2016, to lead the edition. As part of the new streamlined editorial structure under Anna Wintour, Weng reports to British Vogue’s Edward Enninful, who oversees Vogue in Europe. Vogue Germany’s former editor in chief Christiane Arp exited in December 2020 after 17 years at the title.

“Kerstin is a brilliant journalist, digitally fluent and understands what the German audience wants,” said Enninful in a statement. “Her passion, creativity and thoughtful vision will be instrumental in taking Vogue into a new era in Germany.”
