Power Moves | 032c Appoints New Sales Director, Giambattista Valli Taps CEO From Louis Vuitton

This week, BoF learned Alyx Co-Founder Jennifer Murray was appointed sales director of ready to wear at 032c, while Charlotte Werner was named chief executive of Giambattista Valli.

LONDON, United Kingdom — BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

032c appoints new sales director, director of digital strategy

Jennifer Murray, the co-founder and former sales director of 1017 Alyx 9SM, has been appointed sales director of 032c ready-to-wear, effective immediately. Murray, who also previously served as sales director at Hood By Air, will oversee men’s and women’s apparel, including denim, outerwear and accessories.

Also joining the company is Tony Wang, who has been named director of digital strategy at 032c. Wang, who previously served as the director of brand management and content at SSENSE and as a freelance strategist and brand consultant for clients such as Netflix, will oversee the digital strategy across the brand's retail and content platforms.

Giambattista Valli taps new CEO from Louis Vuitton

Charlotte Werner, former manager of women’s leather goods collections at Louis Vuitton, has been named Giambattista Valli’s chief executive, effective immediately. In the newly created role, Werner will oversee the next growth phase of the luxury Paris-based fashion house. President Sandrine Valverde, who has been responsible for sales, production and distribution since the brand’s launch, will remain an adviser.

Prada Group appoints new group communications director

Christopher Bugg, who joined Prada in January 2020 as the marketing and communications director for Asia, has been named group communications director, effective immediately. In his new role, Bugg will oversee digital transformation across the group's brands and will report to Lorenzo Bertelli, head of marketing at Prada Group.

LaForce names new president

New York-based marketing communications agency LaForce has promoted Olita Mills to president of the company. Mills, who has been with the firm for 15 years, will oversee client service, brand strategy, digital and integrated marketing and diversity and inclusion.

Clarks hires new managing director

British footwear retailer Clarks has made Suzanne McKenna its managing director. The move follows news that the company, hard hit by the pandemic, announced it is seeking new funding. A few private equity firms, including Sycamore Partners and OpCapita, are reportedly interested in acquiring a stake in the shoe brand.
