Power Moves | Allbirds Adds to Board of Directors, LVMH-Owned Moynat Appoints CEO

This week, Allbirds appoints an Old Navy executive to its board, while LVMH brand Moynat brings in a new CEO from stablemate Sephora.

Allbirds adds to board of directors

Allbirds has appointed Nancy Green, president and chief creative officer at Old Navy and former Athleta CEO, to its board of directors. 

LVMH-owned Moynat taps Sephora SVP for CEO

Leather goods brand Moynat has named Lisa Attia chief executive. Attia joins the company effective March 1 from LVMH stablemate Sephora, where she was senior vice president, merchandising and image for Europe and the Middle East. She replaces Guillaume Davin, who held the role since 2011, and will report to Sidney Toledano, chairman and chief executive of LVMH Fashion Group and chairman of Moynat.

Selfridges MD exits

Simon Forster has stepped down as managing director of Selfridges, a role he had held since October 2018. Anne Pitcher, who held the role prior to Forster and has since served as managing director of Selfridges Group, has stepped in as interim boss of the department store. 

Rothy’s appoints head of sustainability

Rothy’s has hired Saskia van Gendt for the newly created role of head of sustainability. Van Gendt joins the direct-to-consumer shoe company from sustainable cleaning products maker Method, where she was director of sustainability.

MatchesFashion appoints CEO

MatchesFashion has named Ajay Kavan chief executive, effective March 19. Kavan joins the company from Amazon, where he most recently served as vice president, international special projects. He replaces Ulric Jerome, who abruptly exited in August 2019. 

Hudson’s Bay Co names Saks off-price lead

Saks Fifth Avenue owner Hudson’s Bay Company has named Paige Thomas as president of Saks Off 5th, the department store’s off-price business. Reporting to Helena Foulkes, chief executive of Hudson’s Bay Company, Thomas joins the company from Nordstrom, where she served as executive vice president, general merchandise manager, full price — men’s and kids. Marc Metrick held the role since January 2018, in addition to serving as president of Saks Fifth Avenue. Going forward, he will focus on his role as president of Saks Fifth Avenue.

Condé Nast appoints first content operations chief 

Christiane Mack has been named chief content operations officer at Condé Nast, to lead the publisher’s newly created content operations group. Formerly Condé Nast’s head of content strategy and operations, Mack will report to Wolfgang Blau, global chief operating officer and president, international, in her new role.

Drest names COO

Gamified styling app Drest has promoted Lisa Bridgett from chief marketing and commercial officer to chief operating officer.
