Paulo Melim Andersson Joins Zadig & Voltaire
French brand Zadig & Voltaire announced that Paulo Melim Andersson will join its team to co-design womenswear and accessories, alongside current artistic director Cecilia Bönström. Anderson, who trained at Central Saint Martins, has previously served as the creative director for Marni and Chloè.
Brendon Babenzien Leaves Supreme
Brendon Babenzien has resigned as creative director of American skate culture brand Supreme, a position he held since 2006. The designer plans to focus on relaunching his label Noah which shuttered in 2007. This was Babenzien's second tenure at Supreme, after he left the label previously to start Noah in 2002.
i-D Names Fashion Features Director
Anders Christian Madsen has been named fashion features director at i-D magazine, across both print and digital editions. Since joining the title in 2012, Christian Madsen had served as fashion features editor. Anders will continue his usual coverage of international fashion weeks. Before moving to i-D, the Danish-born writer was the senior editor at Dansk magazine.
Marimekko Appoints President
Finnish design house Marimekko has appointed Tiina Alahuta-Kasko as President, effective April 9. Alahuta-Kasko joined the company in 2005 and last year was named chief operating officer. Her appointment follows current president and CEO Mika Ihamuotila's decision to step down from the role, in order to make himself available for election as chairman of the company's board.
Roland Mouret Taps Akiko Takashima
Akiko Takashima has jouned French luxury label Roland Mouret as global communications and digital director. Before landing the position, Takashima served as the head of marketing and communications at leather goods brand Smythson, prior to which she was a senior marketing manager at Stella McCartney.
Vente-Privée Names Managing Director
French flash sales website Vente-Privee has appointed Sally Scott as as managing director of its UK market. Scott currently serves as a business consultant for cashmere brand Alhiya, prior to which she served as marketing director for Value Retail Group and also held the same position at Selfridges.
