Daniel Lee exits Bottega Veneta. The designer’s singular brand of pared-back sensuality reinvigorated sales for the logo-free Italian house, whose owner Kering described the move as a “joint decision,” in a statement Wednesday. A new creative organisation for the brand will be announced soon, Kering said. It is unclear what Lee’s next move will be.

Ana Andjelic leaves Banana Republic. The former chief brand officer is departing after just nine months at the long-struggling Gap-owned retailer. The marketing veteran had led the Banana Republic in its latest attempts to differentiate itself among a crowded field of chains selling moderately priced clothes. In an email to BoF, Andjelic said she is interested in leading luxury fashion’s digital revolution around blockchain, cryptocurrency and NFTs.

Pierre A. M’Pelé, also known as Pam Boy, named head of editorial content at GQ France. The writer will succeed Olivier Lalanne in leading the Paris-based edition of the Condé Nast men’s magazine as part of its new consolidated global structure. He will report to Adam Baidawi.

Elizabeth Webbe Lunny named Condé Nast’s chief business officer of the style division. The Bustle and New York Times alum will succeed Susan Plagemann, the longtime Vogue publisher who quietly exited in recent months after 11 years with the company. Lunny will oversee fashion and luxury advertising and lead the business strategy for Vogue, GQ and Vanity Fair in the US market.

Chanel appoints new head of fashion public relations. Emmanuelle Walle has been Chanel fragrance and beauty’s head of global public relations since 2019 and will take up her new role — reporting to Bruno Pavlovsky, president of Chanel fashion and Chanel SAS — beginning on Jan. 3, 2022, according to WWD.

Clarks’ chief executive departs. After taking the helm of the footwear company in March, Victor Herrero will leave the post to take on wider responsibilities within Hong Kong-based owner LionRock and Viva China’s group of companies. Chairman Johnny Chen will serve as interim chief executive.

Gap appoints Lisa Donahue to the board of directors. The former chief executive of Publicis Spine and member of the Publicis Groupe Management Committee joins the retail company with 30 years of marketing, data and digital experience. She has also served as chief executive of Starcom USA.

Gary Vaynerchuk joins Gymshark’s advisory board. The serial entrepreneur, known for early investments in companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Venmo, Snapchat and Uber, will join the unicorn fitness apparel brand as it seeks to expand globally. Specifically, Gymshark said Vaynerchuk will work with the company on its social media strategy.

Amid Black Beauty Brand Closures, Glossier Ups Financial Support

Two of the brand's previous grantees — The Established and Ceylon — which each received a $50,000 infusion from Glossier just years ago, have closed their businesses due to a rough financial climate.
