Glamour names associate creative and beauty director
Glamour UK has promoted Alessandra Steinherr to associate creative and beauty director. As part of the title's new beauty-first, digital-first strategy, Steinherr will work with chief content officer Deborah Joseph to oversee the brand's beauty vision and content programme. Previously beauty director at the magazine, she also served as beauty director at Cosmopolitan.
Topshop names global design director
Topshop Topman has appointed Anthony Cuthbertson its new global design director. He joins the company from Roberto Cavalli where he served as Just Cavalli's design director. Prior to this he was creative director at Sass & Bide.
Artemis CEO to step down
Patricia Barbizet, who helms the Pinault family's investment arm, is exiting the business after nearly three decades to focus on developing her own business. She will continue to serve as an Artemis board member and board vice president at Kering.
VF International's leadership changes
VF International has announced changes to its jeanswear division's leadership structure. Johan De Niel has been promoted to vice president at Wrangler, EMEA, while Peter Kats has been promoted to vice president at Lee, EMEA. Both VPs will report to jeanswear president EMEA Massimo Ferrucci. Additionally, two new positions have been created within the VF Jeanswear EMEA team: Daniel Larsson will take up the role of senior sales director, while Johan Vercammen will serve as senior direct to consumer director.
Dunhill appoints brand president and brand director
Amid international retail expansion, Dunhill has hired Mathieu Kraut as brand president, Americas. Kraut joins the company from Gucci, where he managed speciality retail. Georges Barakat will also join as brand director, overseeing the Middle East, India, Turkey, Africa and Russia. Previously, he worked at Samsung.
The Costume Institute appoints associate curator
The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute has named Karen Van Godtsenhoven its associate curator. Van Godtsenhoven previously worked at Antwerp's ModeMuseum as an expert in 20th and 21st century fashion.
