Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has been appointed global brand ambassador for denim giant, Levi’s, and will star in a campaign to mark the launch of a new “Fashion Fits” range, which is designed to suit a wide assortment of body types.
Denim is a key category in the Indian market, trebling in size to $3 billion over the past decade, according to data from Euromonitor. Padukone is a style icon among young women in India and her appointment is likely to help Levi’s win over a larger share of these consumers.
