An advisory board including Gabriela Hearst, Carmen Busquets and Patti Wilson has named 24 emerging designers from across the Middle East and North Africa as finalists for the FTA 2021 awards.
Nominees include Cynthia Merhej (Lebanon) and Maram Aboul Enein (Egypt) for ready-to-wear; Elie Mizrahi (Lebanon) and Harith Hashim (Iraq) in the eveningwear category and Alia Bin Omair (UAE) and Azza Skhiri Bouchamaoui (Tunisia) for jewellery. Winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held in Doha, Qatar, on March 25.
