Paolo Porta has transitioned to a permanent CEO role at the British outdoor lifestyle and shoe retailer after serving as interim chief executive officer since June 2020. Leading the brand through the pandemic, Porta has played a key role in navigating repositioning strategies.
In his time at Hunter so far, Porta has strengthened its brand and creative leadership teams, including the recent appointment of global design director Sandra Romboli, who joined from Decathlon, and chief marketing officer Claudia Plant, who came from Burberry.
Prior to joining Hunter, Porta has worked across a number of companies within the luxury fashion industry, including senior roles at Christian Dior, Stella McCartney and Burberry. Porta also held the post of SVP of merchandising and licensing at Jimmy Choo during the brand’s first IPO as well as its later sale to Capri Holdings.
