Bob Sauerberg to step down amid Condé Nast merger
Following the announcement that Condé Nast will combine with Condé Nast International, chief executive of Condé Nast Bob Sauerberg will step down and be replaced by a global chief executive tasked with overseeing both the American and international sides of the company.
Unilever names new CEO
Unilever has appointed Alan Jope to succeed Paul Polman as chief executive as of January 1. Jope was previously head of the company's beauty and personal care unit and will be mentored by Polman, who is leaving the company but will stay on for another six months to oversee the handover process.
Adidas names chief information officer and reappoints general manager, France
Adidas has named Fumbi Chima as its new chief information officer effective January 1, 2019. Chima joins the company from Fox Network Group, where she also served as chief information officer, and will report to chief financial officer Harm Ohlmeyer. The company also appointed Guillaume de Montplanet general manager for France, a position he previously held from 2012 to 2017. Most recently, he was senior vice president of Adidas for Europe.

Columbia appoints China general manager
Sportswear company Columbia has named John Soh its vice president and general manager for China as of February 2019. Soh joins the company from Lego, where he held the position of senior commercial director for Asia Pacific. He will report to senior vice president of emerging brands and Asia Pacific Doug Morse.
Gap names executive vice president and general manager for north America specialty retail
Pam Wallack has been appointed executive vice president and general manager for North America specialty retail and global head of specialty product of Gap brand, as of November 26. In this newly created position, Wallack reports to president and chief executive officer of Gap brand Neil Fiske. She joins the company from The Children's Place, where she was president of global product.
Christopher Raeburn taps brother for performance director role
Designer Christopher Raeburn has appointed his older brother Graeme Raeburn for the position of performance director, a newly created role. Raeburn joins the company from cycling brand Rapha, where he was lead designer.
