Maus Frères International names Kooples CEO amid acquisition

Following its acquisition by Lacoste owner Maus Frères International, The Kooples has a new chief executive. Romain Guinier joins the brand with immediate effect from Maus Frères stablemate Aigle, where he was also CEO.

Tapestry appoints COO

Coach owner Tapestry has named Tom Glaser chief operating officer, effective July 15, 2019. Glaser joins the company from VF Corp, where he was vice president, VF Corp and president, supply chain. He will report directly to Victor Luis, CEO of Tapestry.

Woolrich names Stefano Saccone CEO

Woolrich International has appointed VF Corp veteran Stefano Saccone its new CEO. The appointment will take effect during the summer of 2019, with Saccone joining the company from his role as vice president and general manager of Vans for the EMEA region. He replaces Paolo Corinaldesi.

Louis Vuitton appoints director of strategic missions

Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, formerly global brand president of L'Oréal Paris, has been tapped to lead strategic missions for fashion and leather goods at Louis Vuitton, effective June 3. Angeloglou will report to Michael Burke, chairman and CEO of the brand.

Garage Magazine appoints features and fashion directors

Vice-owned lifestyle publication Garage Magazine has promoted Style Director Gabriella Karefa-Johnson to fashion director and hired Laia Garcia to fill the newly created role of features director. Karefa-Johnson replaces Phoebe Arnold, whose last issue was number 13 in 2017, while Garcia joins the magazine from her role as deputy editor of No Man's Land, the biannual print publication of women's club The Wing. Both directors join the company with immediate effect and report to Editor-in-Chief Mark Guiducci.

Walmart taps Google executive for CTO role

Walmart Inc. has named Suresh Kumar chief technology officer, joining the company from his role as vice president and general manager of display, video, app ads and analytics at Google. He reports to Doug McMillon, president and CEO of Walmart.

Matthew Schneier appointed features writer for The Cut and New York Magazine

New York Times Reporter and Staff Writer Matthew Schneier is joining New York Magazine and The Cut as features writer, effective June 10, 2019. He will report to David Haskell, editor-in-chief of New York Magazine, and Stella Bugbee, president and editor-in-chief of The Cut.
