Alexander Wang Exits Balenciaga
Balenciaga and Alexander Wang have announced their joint decision not to renew their contract, parent company Kering confirmed today. Wang's final show for Balenciaga will be the Spring/Summer 2016 collection, shown on 2 October in Paris. The search for Wang's successor has already begun.
Kering Hires CEO of Luxury - Couture and Leather Goods Emerging Brands
Grita Loebsack has been named as Kering's new chief executive officer of its luxury couture and leather goods emerging brands, which include Balenciaga, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen, effective September 14. Loebsack, previously executive vice president of global skincare at Unilever, will report to François-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO of Kering.
Pucci Appoints CEO
Mauro Grimaldi, vice president of sales, marketing and communications at Elie Saab, will join Emilio Pucci as chief executive officer on September 14. Prior to Elie Saab, Grimaldi was West/Central Europe director of Salvatore Ferragamo. Laudomia Pucci, Emilio Pucci's daughter, has been interim CEO since 2014, when former chief executive Alessandra Carra left the brand for Agnona.
P&G Names CEO
Procter & Gamble has appointed company veteran David Taylor as chief executive officer, effective November 1. Taylor succeeds A.G. Lafley, who will remain as chairman during the transition. Lafley, who joined P&G in 1980, has been CEO of the company twice — from 2000 to 2009 and again in 2013.
Calvin Klein Taps Rod Manley
Calvin Klein has appointed Rod Manley to the role of executive vice president of global communications, effective August 31. Previously, Manley served as senior vice president of communications at Giorgio Armani. In his new role, Manley will report to Melisa Goldie, chief marketing officer.
John Douglas Joins MCM
German leather goods brand MCM has appointed John Douglas as chief information officer. Douglas joins from Burberry, where he held the same role.
Endless Jewelry Names Chief Marketing Officer
Danish jewellery brand Endless Jewelry has named Mikkel Berg as global chief marketing officer, effective immediately. Berg was previously chief executive of Julie Sandlau, and before that, global chief marketing officer at Pandora.
Emma Sutton Exits Dazed
Emma Sutton, marketing director at Dazed Group, which publishes Dazed and AnOther Magazine, is leaving the company after five years. Sutton first joined Dazed as a marketing and events consultant in 2011. As marketing director, Sutton helped to increase Dazed magazine's online traffic by 500 percent from 2013 to 2015.
Matchesfashion.com Names Style Director
Matchesfashion.com has appointed Natalie Brewster as style director. Brewster will be responsible for the editorial fashion direction of all womenswear content for digital and print. Previously, she was fashion editor at Net-a-Porter.com and The Edit.
