The all-denim collection celebrates styles sourced from the Levi’s archive, including men’s 501 straight-leg jeans and trucker jackets, re-fashioned and customised by Miu Miu.
It will launch at Selfridges in London and IAPM in Shanghai mid-May, and will be available online from May 24 in Miu Miu boutiques and online.
The collections style mixes masculine and feminine silhouettes, seen on Miu Miu muses actor Emma Corrin and models Lila Moss and Georgia Palmer.
The collaboration comes after Miu Miu debuted its first Upcycled Collection in October last year. It is the latest in a long-term strategy pivot towards sustainable materials for the brand — sister brand Prada’s regenerative nylon project Prada Re-Nylon launched in 2019.
While the campaign doesn’t yet feature products designed by Lee, the release signals Burberry is getting a complete creative overhaul under the stewardship of Yorkshire-born designer and new CEO Jonathan Akeroyd.
