Longchamp’s Philippe Cassegrain Dies from Covid-19

The president of the French family-owned leather goods brand died at age 83 from Covid-19 related complications, according to a press release from the brand, ending a 60-year career at the business his father founded in 1948. Cassegrain succeeded his father in 1972 and went on to design the brand’s still signature Le Pliage bag in 1993. His son Jean is Lonchamp’s chief executive officer.
