François Souchet joins the firm — which counts Calvin Klein and Longchamp as clients in its ModusBPCM division — from the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, where he spearheaded the “Make Fashion Circular” initiative. Souchet will be based in BPCM’s London Office (ModusBPCM) with partner Julian Vogel and focus on the UK and Europe to start, in addition to working with the firm’s US team.

BPCM partner and founding partner of the UN’s US Coalition on Sustainability Carrie Ellen Phillips led the initiative to create the company’s Sustainability and Impact practice, which consults with clients on their supply chain and waste reduction practices. The agency has worked with brands like outdoor apparel maker Arc’teryx on its sustainability and impact platform.

BPCM’s Sustainability and Impact division is its fastest growing area — already representing 12 percent of agency billings, said Phillips in an email.

“Today, pilots and long term targets are no longer enough. With the growing clarity that we have a decade to ensure human activity remains within planetary boundaries, companies need to drive and demonstrate real progress on this agenda,” Souchet said in an email.

Editor’s Note: This article was updated on 18 May 2021. A previous version of this article said Staud is a BPCM client. That is not correct. BPCM previously worked with the brand Staud, but it is no longer a client.
