M Missoni names creative director
Margherita Missoni has been appointed creative director of the M Missoni brand, effective immediately. She returns to the company after pursuing other professional projects. Her first collection for the house will be for Spring/Summer 2020.
TAG Heuer appoints strategy and digital director
Frédéric Arnault has been named strategy and digital director of TAG Heuer. Arnault held internships at Facebook and McKinsey & Company before joining TAG Heuer last year in a temporary role as head of connected technologies.
Lacoste announces creative director
Lacoste has tapped Louise Trotter as its creative director, effective immediately. Trotter succeeds Felipe Oliveira Baptista, who exited the brand in May after an eight year tenure. She was formerly creative director of British label Joseph, taking over from the brand's founder Joseph Ettedgui who died in 2010.
Dazed Media names general manager, commercial
Priya Matadeen has joined Dazed Media as general manager, commercial. Matadeen previously held the role of director of strategy and partnerships at British Vogue. In addition, Allegra Faggionato has been named fashion account director, joining the company from Love Magazine, where she was advertising director.
Instagram appoints new head
Instagram has tapped Adam Mosseri to lead the company a week after its co-founders resigned. Mosseri, who joined Facebook in 2008, was most recently Instagram's vice president of product. He had previously overseen Facebook's news feed.
J.C. Penney announces CEO
Jill Soltau has been named chief executive of J.C. Penney. The appointment comes five months after its former chief executive Marvin Ellison left the company. Soltau was previously chief executive of fabric and crafts retailer Joann Stores.
Estée Lauder makes executive hires
Andrew Ross has been named executive vice president of strategy and new business development, and Lisa Sequino joins as senior vice president, global general manager of Becca cosmetics.
Essence Communications appoints new senior leadership
Moana Luu has been named chief content and creative officer of the newly independent media company, in charge of content on all platforms and overseeing the editorial and creative teams. Luu was previously the chief creative and brand officer at Trace Media Group. In addition, Essence named Darline Jean its new chief digital officer, leading digital capabilities and working with the sales and marketing divisions to develop new revenue sources. Jean previously held senior level positions at Pulsepoint, Inc and About.com.
