SMCP names head of investor relations
SMCP Group, parent company of Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot, has tapped Célia d'Everlange to head up the investor relations team that was created following the group's IPO in October 2017. D'Everlange was appointed investor relations director at Danone in 2015; prior to that she spent almost 10 years at Rothschild & Cie Banque in the financial communication advisory team.
Max Mara US hires Marketing VP
Max Mara USA has appointed Judgie Graham as its new vice president of marketing and communications. She joins the brand from Oscar de la Renta, where she served as vice president of global communications. Previously, she worked in the press departments at Christian Dior Couture and Dolce & Gabanna.
Jason Wu exits Hugo Boss
Jason Wu is stepping down from his role as artistic director of Boss women's after almost five years. Boss' Autumn/Winter 2018 collection, presented this season at New York Fashion Week, will be his last for the German house.
Carolina Herrera appoints creative director
Carolina Herrera, founder of her namesake brand, stepped down from the creative helm following her Autumn/Winter 2018 show during New York Fashion Week, taking up the new title of global brand ambassador. She has appointed Wes Gordon — who has served as the brand's creative consultant for the past year — as her successor. His first collection for the house will be Resort 2019.
Courrèges hires artistic director
After almost seven months without a creative head, Courrèges has named Yolanda Zobel as successor to Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, who announced their departure from the house last July after just two years at the creative helm. Zobel has worked for Giorgio Armani, Chloé, Acne Studios and, most recently, Jil Sander. She will begin her role on February 26, with her first collection debuting for Spring/Summer 2019.
Ssense appoints CMO
Ssense has appointed Krishna Nikhil to the newly created role of chief merchandising officer. Nikhil joins the retailer from Indigo Books & Music, where he served as executive vice president, print and chief strategy officer; prior to this, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company.
